Pandan waffles or as referred to in Vietnamese, Bánh kẹp lá dứa, are different from other waffles because of the use of pandan flavor and coconut milk in the batter.[1] Unlike most waffles, pandan waffles are eaten plain. They are also characterized by their spring green color and browning when cooked.[2] In Vietnam, they are a popular street food made either by heating cast iron molds over charcoal or by an electric waffle iron.[3]
